I expect you to do a better job of it!
You don't need the game itself to prepare assets for a mod. So at this moment, everything that can be made without the game is being made, which oddly enough, happen to include 3d models, precisely what IskatuMesk has been posting up.
I believe the new SC2 editor is called scumedit.
Finished. No more work is being done on it. You can download it at samods.org (listed on the right side there.
Is a lot of discipline, a lot of experience playing RTS games (to know what works and what doesn't) and a community to support you.
I made this mod using standard WE, MPQDraft to make SEMPQs (you can find that program on www.campaigncreations.org) and photoshop for the textures.
As for the people clamoring for mac release, I'm looking into it now.
I do plan on releasing a MAC version whenever I am able to. Wait up!
Neither are completley true 100% to SC. WC3 has its drawbacks, especially with the limitations on carrier/interceptors. Oh, and the WC3 engine can't handle a lot of units.
The Sage engine CAN, however it's interface is nothing like SCs, and it would be stupid to recrate it completley, because you can't.
Both teams are going their own way. Project Revolution is trying to be as true to original SC as possible. SK is getting a bit more creative with their mod. I plan to play both, because both will absolutley own you and your mother.
The site its been hosted at had a problem nobody new about until a week ago. Also, the site itself is down now. When it goes back up, expect another newspost explaining more.
Ahh yes, but i believe the most you can do is 300.
Well it didn't take that long, only a year or so. But hey if you don't like COMPLETLEY changing Warcraft III, maybe youd be interested in my OTHER warcraft III mod, No More Heroes?
