Looking thought the Editor I noticed that for the Protoss Warp in animations, you created 2 separate units for each structure, why not create a birth animation for the original units so that you dont have to create triggers for this. Also when i try to attach a machine shop to a factory or a control tower to a starport, It doesnt let me place it at its built location. Try to fix that, and i know you can because it did let me with one of the addons, i think it was the covert ops that let me

Also when I try to place the Protoss Fleet Beacon in the editor, it gives me this faulty import error, fix that.

Another thing, Most protoss units and buildings appear to be mere moving doodads, they dont have an attack animation or the game doesnt register it, and the dragoon doesnt have even a walk animation, it looks like its sliding

Another thing, when I Warp in a Pylon, altho it doesnt show u it, its there. The model file just doesn't seem to show. But the pylon doesnt give me any food, Also after I warp in a Nexus, it allows me to make probes, an invisible nexus :)

Id like to point something out, this is to people who are wondering when the "Full Version" is coming out.

I have looked thru the MPQ and basically all your options and decided that this is no "Demo", its simply a full version with bugs.

Terran - I didnt come up with any bugs yet
Zerg - their build animations..none, Zerg comp somehow mines gas without making an extractor, altho it didnt let me do that
Protoss - Probes need to be fixed, they cant mine minerals, haven't tried gas, i typed "greedisgood 99999" :), Also when u build a pylon, you see the warp in animation but i didnt find any pylon after the warp in ended... its like your warping in thin air..., so i wasent able to see the units yet, but the world editor places the pylon fine

Other than that, all the units are there

MSG to PR: Good Job, your ALMOST DONE, you just need a couple of triggers and object editor changes, and we have a full version!!!

Ok listen up
I have this model in LightWave Object (LWO) format and i need to convert it to MDX format (so i can import it into the game. do you know of a converter? im sure you do..you have to be using Lightwave or maya as far as i know and both need a converter to import the model to warcraft 3
I also need a BMP to BLP converter (for the textures)

you have to be kidding me
Balancing is what keeps Blizzard games popular for so long..if you dont balance the game.. it dies out quickly
Look at starcraft For example
The game was made when?? in 1998?? right now its 2007...9.5 years????? For a RTS game..thats a long time

Warcraft 3 is dying out tho cuz of an Imbalance,..the steam tanks, did u ever get massed by them in a team game????

I am creating a map (Village builder) but im also including a secret race: The Protoss into the map
Im using the models from your map in this and ive started adding unit sounds to this, now this is where i need help.
The sound for when a probe is ready i completed it (it works) (trigger)
The sound when a probe dies (it works) (trigger)
but when i need to move the probe..in starcraft the game selects a random sound from the database for that unit and purpose, how do i do this in the editor?
I also cant find the triggers for when a player selects a unit (well it doesnt work properly)
If you have a way to do this using the object editor that would be way better than the trigger method
(I prefer to stay away from triggers if possible)

Oh god i cant find the Campaign sounds
And i cant find the maps either. I opened every single one of them but the map editor wont open any of them

Sorry about the post but i found the MPQ file shortly after posting it lol,

The map im making is a Village Builder Map, but in the beginning i wana add a cinematic where one of starcraft missions is about to start and Cenarius comes out of nowhere and destroys all the terran stuff, then the game starts

When i played your Boot camp mission i noticed that you changed the sounds to starcraft sounds but i have a question

I know how to get the unit sounds (wut they say when you click on them and when u command them something) but im making a warcraft 3 map and i wana add some starcraft stuff as a joke to it. \

Question: How do you get the Dialogue from the boot camp mission??. And i could not find a MPQ file to try to open. so if you know where it is or how to reveal it..that would be great

Ya wolves, this is a good idea you should take it into consideration and try to convince blizz to include your models next patch

P.S. I tried my thing my adding your stuff to my MPQ but i dont get how to make the game see them..Any help? i tried everything i could think of with the editor but it doesnt see them either and im trying to avoid the Import Manager

Because using this method, peeps will dl the maps but wont have the models, unless they dl it from this website, or get the installer E-Mailed to them they wont be able to play, so if you can convince Blizzard to include your models in the next Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne Patch, that would sole lots of problems and the best part is...The dl time will be extremely short

P.S. You can put A.I. in the MPQ files I Think

We all know that the 4 MB limit is not allowing the creator of this map to add more models pretty much and not allowing unit sounds either, but I have thought of a way to get around that.
Did you notice that the War3 maps all are small in sizes? very small but all the models/skins and unit speech/sounds are in MPQ files, so the models do not have to be in the map (as a result its not so big)
Why dont we do the same for these Starcraft Conversion packs? With some programming (you need to find somebody) you can create an installer that imports the models into the War3.MPQ file and then you can free loads of space from your maps to add loads of other stuff and overall have a small file size
Go for it, Its worth your time.
This will also enable every1 to make their own starcraft maps with the world editor
