One of the best games ever made, huge map plenty of interesting places and quests to discover, great storylines and factions, lot of immersive side missions and memorable NPCs, funny dialogues, awesome interface, stunning scenery. Hell, even the bugs are entertaining in this game!
Oblivion is also moddable from A to Z, by anyone! The scripting part doesn't require a background as a programmer, it's a simple language and everything can be shaped into anything you like, it's easy to write and re-write entire quests, this game is versatile like no other rpg game.
Overall this is an awesome game with no age, still playable and enjoyable (vanilla or modded) after almost 20 years!
