Gekokujo - Daimyo Edition

Mod review

It's a better version of the already great Gekokujo mod. A must play module of Warband for those seeking immersion and Roleplaying opportunities.

Gekokujo

Mod review

For a long time I searched for a Warband mod that could offer me opportunities for Roleplaying and I found those opportunities in Gekokujo.
Gekokujo takes you to feudal Japan during the sengoku period, where the Lords fight for the title of Shogun. As every other Warband mod you start as a traveller in a city and must make your way to the top, helping a Lord conquer Japan or conquer it yourself.
The thing that makes Gekokujo so great is the immersion. You have everything, from scenery, to background music and textures, historical figures and much more. I played for several weeks without ever joining an army, just playing a merchant, getting the trust of people in towns and cities, trading goods, making myself a fortune and creating businesses in every corner of Japan. I was such a rich and well known man that every lord in Japan started to send me letters, asking the Great Merchant Isei to join their ranks. In the end I helped Lord Oda to take the entire Japan and ended up owning the 3 fortresses and their respective villages.
It was the best experience I've ever had in Warband, by far the best experience. The game allowed me to have lots of fun just by meeting people, exploring places and trading goods, and when I finally got around to fight some battles I was surprised by how well done the siege maps are.
This is the best Warband mod I've ever played, and I recommend your play it aswell.

Brutal Doom

Mod review

I takes doom from 10 and take it to 100. It's just amazing and really satifying to blow demons to pieces on Doom, and Brutal Doom makes it even better and way more fast paced. It's so good that the new Doom (2016) is pretty much Brutal Doom on 3D.

Check out Project Brutality aswell, it takes Brutal Doom from 100 and makes it 1000 and really over the top.
