The post seems to indicate that Blizz is looking into further improvements as well, which is pretty swell.

Between this and the couple week old Titan Quest beta patches, now is a good time for hacknslash interest.

So many choices though, Grim Dawn is has been beckoning too.

After testing D2SE and Multires more, I think I prefer the glide wrapper included with D2SE with just scaled+correct aspect ratio.

D2Multires only works in DirectDraw mode, not with Glide/D3D, and while it looks phenomenal with a correct expanded resolution, it doesn't suit my personal preference because of some of the associated oddities, lol

One further thing that may be of interest, though D2SE has been great for me so I've not tried it, someone on the Keep has posted an experimental port of D2Multires for 1.13.

As mentioned below, Please check out D2SE. It has solved all my fullsceen crashes and general incompatibility. I don't have Win10 to test, but it seems to cover all newer versions.

It doesn't allow more resolutions like D2Multires, but it's a good solution as it allows fullscreen and on my 3K monitor it honestly looks just fine, not stretched or blurry. The glide wrapper settings contains some filters and some resolution tweaks you can fool around with. It's seriously genius.

I don't think I've played after afterlife's version 4.2, so I plan to **** around a bit in the coming days.

I snagged this, which may interest you. If you haven't heard of D2SE, it's is a brilliant launcher and mod manager with glide wrapper included, and also helps running on Win7+ fullscreen with correct aspect ratio.

Perhaps you can look into making an official D2SE bundle posted here? It took me a while to get that due to a sore lacking of seeds.
