Despite the fact that only Windows is officially supported, this game runs perfectly on Linux and OSX with any version of WINE. I know, because I play and mod it on Debian with the default WINE package.

Fun game, with a very long single-player campaign that I played for many hours straight back when it was version .99c, four years ago.
It's still developed, and that parts I played then are still free, further polished, and even open-source now.
Oh, if the base game ever becomes dull, there are expansion packs available for download, ranging from a purchasable one from the main developer called Corporate Command, to nearly a thousand free ones that can be found on xelerus.de, each adding everything from new wingmen, to a tower defense mode, to a complete overhaul of the ingame mining system, to a port of every item and weapon from Descent.
