I don't think its that simple. I have a strong feeling that most alien units are being remodeled to look more exactly like the original Starcraft designs. Also, Protoss build animation is just a filler, that I know for sure. Also, I'm sure many units are incomplete, programing-wise. Certainly they'll run into multiple bugs while finishing. Therefore, they are not almost done.

good point, monochrome. this is why i think they should enable zooming and angle changing.

That wouldnt make sense since all they need to edit is the sound file from the original Warcraft 3 engine.
