I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if there's a console command to hide your weapon in L4D? I tried the ones from HL2, but none of them work. It'd go a long way to making the screens better, methinks.

It's not too hard. Just google "Setting up Hammer for L4D" and you should get several tutorials telling you how. :)

We just watched your lab video the other day! xD The light behind your fan is awesome, as well as your custom doors and chests. We don't know anything about modeling or special lighting, so that's our sketchiest area. Can't wait for your mod though, it looks pretty sick. :D Good luck!

How do I go about hiding the weapon? I just know the hidehud command. I suppose it would be easy to go find it online, but then, I'm lazy. :D Thanks for the compliment though! I'll figure out how to ditch the gun for future screens.

Haha, I've got a skin on him that makes him look like Shaun, from Shaun of the Dead. xD So he's got a white guy's hands and they're in shadow there.

Thanks, I appreciate that! :D I would recommend it, L4D is competing with Half Life 2 to be my favorite FPS ever. It's definitely an awesome game, especially if you're into RE and zombies and such.

Very true. I agree and disagree. On Korge's side, he's right that it's absolutely illegal. The disclosure on all the companies' products say as much. But on the side of the opposition, I can see how in practice it probably won't matter. I doubt the companies would care at all that a non-profit modding group stuck some illegitimate logos on their poster. They've got bigger problems to deal with on a day-to-day basis. And I also doubt that anyone would think that a mod was sponsored by an industry giant like Valve. If they did, they should probably be told to go pet a lion.

But that's not what Korge was saying, and people should understand that. He's not arguing whether or not companies would care. (At least I don't think he is.) As I understand it, he was simply explaining that it is, in fact, illegal, and commenting that it is wrong to use others property to further your own popularity. Also, he was talking about modding etiquette, and saying that this practice makes you look like an unprofessional mod group. That's it. I don't understand how anyone can start arguments over undeniable facts that you can go read on paper. :P

Thanks guys! We're working on the trees actually. There's some kind of problem with the fake L4D SDK I think, because these are one of the only kinds of trees that want to work right now. Most of them fail to show up in-game for some reason. By the time it's released though, the helipad will be surrounded by forest, just like in the original. :)

Me too, that remake was sick. :D
Of course, we'll have some more up soon! The helipad's just the only thing we've got done at this point. The main mapper is without his computer at the moment though, so it's basically just me working on it, and I'm kind of slow-ish. Still, I should have some screens up of the residence around Saturday or so. :)

Ah, you guys are all right, we should have put it in addons. My bad, I just wasn't paying attention to the categories. I don't suppose there's a way to change it without actually creating a new page eh?

Excellent mod guys, it lives up to the expectations. I agree with the comments that it took an ungodly amount of ammo to kill anything, but on the other hand I kind of liked the challenge. Can't wait for the finished product. :D

I agreed with Towig. From what we've seen so far, I think this is shaping up to be one of the best RPD reproductions ever. I hope we're going to see a beta in the near future. :D

This is probably the most amazing reproduction of the RPD lobby I've ever seen, including the ones inside Capcom. It easily tops The Umbrella Chronicles version. I would probably actually hang this up in my house. O.o Excellent job, you've made number one on my list of mods I can't wait to get my hands on.
