No, it is not in our current plans to expend beyond the British isles within the first playable version of our map. That was revised long ago.
To clarify, Dell'arte della guerra is not affiliated with this project.
Rulers in the British isles were not crowned by the Pope, the Pope would also require custom models we do not have, and most of all, this isn't a Napoléon Biopic, but late april fools I suppose?
Hello, we are truly sorry about that, upon further feedback we felt that the video was under the standards we wanted to present and didn't do justice to the finished scenes we made, we thus decided to remplace it with an updated video in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In this period, two handed polearms dominated the battlefield. While different cultures have different affinities for shields, the majority of the units won't likely use them, but they are there. We are toying with the idea of making them more prevalent in sieges.
We will continue to work on this project, there is no plan to make versions of the mod set earlier in time.
A jousting feature is planned.
Hello, as shown on our page, the current scope of our project is focused on the Great Britain/Ireland archipelago during the Wars of the Roses. French, Burgundian and Hanseatic soldiers will play a role in gameplay in the form of mercenaries and pirates, but playing them as factions doesn’t fit into our initial goal for this project, with our current worldmap. It may be expended as a submod later down the line.
The harlot issues is being delt with no worries
By painted I meant the stone is painted, in the previous version shown, the church was bare stone, and not this colored.
By not in-game engine I meant this image is from a 3D modeling software and not yet imported in game.
There will not be a welsh faction or culture most likely, due to the heavy assimilation of Wales into the English feodal world, it's elites being english and it's soldiers being indistinguishable from english ones in appearance. Scotland will absolutly have it's own faction/factions down the line however.
Hello, only the last video is relevant to the current version of the mod. The game will be set during the return of Edward IV to England before the battle of Barnet, so in 1471.
Hi, for now nothing is set in stone but they should be an independant faction from Scotland. Several questions arise gameplay wise due to the low number of towns, but recruitment will be changed overall anyway. It's likely that some form of alliance to England will be in place. They will be a different culture to the lowlands and will look and play differently, that's the goal anyway.
Unfortunatly as mentioned in our scope update article from 2021, the initial scope was decided very early on by a less experienced team. We came to the decision or narrowing the scope to the british isles after considering the feasibility of the initial project, which wouldn't have been easily achievable. The mod will still feature various mercenaries from mainland europe for gameplay variety.
Newcastle is in the works ;)
Has stated in our scale update post and previous comments, the mod is now centered on the War of the Roses in the British Isles, during the 1470s-1480s. Expect to see content in line with these settings and not far Eastern factions or borders from before 1470.
For first release we strive to have the main two English factions(York and Lancaster). The kingdom of Scotland and the Lordship of the isles will also be present. Ireland will have multiple playable factions. As stated in our scope update post, we will not have kingdoms outside of the British isles as playable factions, at least initiatlly.
Yes of course, the whole of Ireland should be playable as different factions, independently from the English civil war.
Hi, as the mod is set after 1470 and primarily focuses on The War of the Roses, albania will not be featured in the mod for the foreseeable future.
Cool models. However I thought this mod was set around 17th century Eastern Europe, so I'm a bit confused by the late 15th century Egyptian axe with the name of sultan Qāytbāy written on it on the left.
This isn't burgundian it's Flemish al antica. The body armor is based on an Altarpiece dated to 1505, decades after the end of the duchy of Burgundy
Refreshing to not see pteryges everywhere, good job!
India is at the total opposite of the area we are currently working on, and is not figured on the map we plan to add to the mod. However has we want to have a rather complete and in depth depiction of each factions, the process of fleshing them out takes time. Thus, do not expect to see in the near future any factions on the eastern side of the map, has we are currently working on the north-western side.
This is a great proposition, however we do not currently work on Georgia and not for the forcible future until the first extensions of the mod are completed. As said, we will implement factions according to our road map. Georgia is the last possible faction we could implement, however it's unrealistic at the current date to expect any work on them soon.
as stated buy our roadmap, we will release this mod episodically, starting by the war of the roses, followed by the Burgdundian wars, etc. And indeed, it is a lot of work, so one must be realistic regarding hype for factions included at the end of our plans. Being a conversion mod, models aren't the only focus of our mod and thus, we prefer to focus and refine one area rather than being all over the place but shallow. Hope this clears some confusions.
Unfortunately like indicated in the start of the mod page, our historical settings start in 1471, and thus Trebizond is no longer an independant state. The principality of Theodoro is the only greek state that could be playable in the mod, if we get around to it some day.
Hi, we do not currently have a public discord, but it won't necessarilly remain that way
