It's definitely for real. We're recruiting testers at the moment to test what we've built.

What is dead may never die!
Thanks dude! What's your Discord? I see you've done a Texture mod for Jedi Knight. I'm actually having some texture issues at the minute, could use your input.
Sorry for your frustration. Our lead developer has been on-leave due to university stuff. Now that he's got free time, we can get back on schedule. OJRP will probably be renamed to Jedi Master Project. We've formulated a bigger and better direction to take all of this.
It's not dying/dead. All staff members are currently in Skype call, discussing the next step in development. Worry not.
It's done when it's done. We have no particular date yet, just within 2016. It's been changed to TBD *just incase*. OJRP will be going through major changes soon.
Star Wars: The Last Command will open a few days after the OJRP 1.0 release. You'll be able to join them by registering on their forums, which is currently in development. Watch this space, or JKHub to stay informed about that particular roleplay community... however there will be others using OJRP also.
Yes. A roleplay community called Star Wars: The Last Command will be the first to use this mod.
Soon. We can't promise any particular date, but definitely this year.
A Roleplay orientated mod basically means that it's designed to be universal. It can't lean towards certain "era styles" - for example, The Old Republic was very red/gold with rustic features and copious amounts of Force Powers. Roleplay communities are totally separate from the mod. They will be free to use it for their communities. Each community is free to decide what era they're set in, what storyline is occurring, everything! So the mod must suit every possible one without bias. That's why we've gone for a clean cut Battlefront look. Also, Roleplay communities have every player make their own character. The leaders of the community usually reflect the leaders of the Jedi or the Sith, depending on their storyline, etc. What happens from there on is unknown and fair game!
Thanks for the advice! We'll take note of this.
Hello, XeroRemnant. This is perhaps a possibility in the future, but we're not aiming for such a system in Roleplay Edition. Many roleplay communities have their own stat guides and methods of levelling, so everything needs to stay open and customizable for them. The most we could consider at this point is stat-templates, whereby you choose your rank (Jedi Initiate etc) and it sets the stats to the typical settings. This would perhaps help amatuer roleplaying communities.
The icons you see in this picture will be for appearance / character selection only. In game, these are normally displayed at the top right corner. We felt they were irrelevant to roleplay, and took up valuable screen space. So, we removed it for better immersion :)
Hopefully within the next two months or so, but we don't want to make any promises just yet. We won't be rushing or cutting corners - if there's more improvements that can be done, we'll put in the extra time to do them.
Yes. Purely multiplayer based. OJRP was created specifically for an upcoming community called Star Wars: The Last Command. However, since we're open source - any other community will be welcome to use it.
