I'd like to add, do all this at your own risk and don't yell at me if something goes wrong =)

For anyone having sound issues, go into the game folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Desura\Common\Beans Quest for me) and delete or move out the openal32.dll file from that folder. Make sure the game isn't running when you do this.

Next start the game and you should have sound. This worked for me on Windows 7 64-bit.
