Hi Jake, Took me some time to recover my login info for this site. I haven't had any comments for 3 years, as you can see. Frankly, Mutations.exe is just a copy of DeusEx.exe. You need a shortcut with a target line similar to this

E:\DeusEx\System\Mutations.exe INI="E:\DeusEx\System\Mutations.ini" USERINI="E:\DeusEx\System\MutationsUser.ini" log=Mutations.log

to properly launch the game. Perhaps that is missing. Otherwise, more information will be needed. You can also just copy DeusEx.exe to Mutations.exe in case it is corrupted. Let me know if this helps.

Latest version of Mutations (V1.1.2) is available at www.freewebs.dxmutations . There are minor enhancements to Level 1, but no major impact on game play or later levels. It also contains the Shifter fix. I am hoping this version will be posted here soon.

If you want to try Mutations with the Shifter mod, go to www.freewebs.com/dxmutations/download1.htm and download Patch080722.exe
This will upgrade Mutations to Version 1.0.1 making it Shifter compatible.
No need to download this patch if you are using the original Deus Ex game files. Only mods that have changed or modified the original files would required this patch.
