It's colour correction, which alters the colour balance to give off a particular atmosphere.
bloodnest is correct. The players must complete the maps objective while also keeping their infection rate down. There are antidotes found around the maps, in small containers, that remove X% infection. They work similar to Explosive/Incendiary Ammo in Left 4 Dead 2, as all players can take an elixir out of a container, but can only take 1 elixir per container.
The race idea wouldn't work using these containers, but there's another type of antidote. It can be carried and held like a weapon, but can't actually be used as one. When you find one in a map, you pick it up and it's added to your inventory. MOUSE1 will let you use it on yourself, lowering your infection, and MOUSE2 will let you throw it to assist fellow survivors. These antidotes are weaker than the larger ones in cases, but due to them being transportable, it could make an interesting gamemode.

The nodraw texture isn't seen in-game. That's what it's for, to remove the face of a brush. You saw the custom Quick Stop texture, which is only similar in colour.
Oh, don't worry, that's all planned.

I'm thinking of toning down the mist as it blocks vision slightly too much, but I won't completely remove it. It gives a nice touch that the older ca_town never had.
The Quick Stop has an interior now, unlike before, but it still needs heavy improvement, right now it's pretty empty. I probably will delete some of the older progress shots, because they were mainly uploaded so I could get feedback on how to improve the atmosphere. When we find a programmer, the first thing we'll do is either change the HUD or add weapons, which I'm looking forward to showcasing in a video. Thanks for your feedback.

I prefer the new grey look to the old ca_town, it was much too blue. Now it has a nice bleaker feel. If it wasn't for people suggesting how to fix the streetlamp lighting, this probably would have looked awful. I was up all night making this, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
I actually have them in place but they're not turned on, I'll do that now. Thanks again.

The zombies aren't modified yet, so they're the default Half-Life 2 headcrab zombies. As soon as we customize them a bit, and remove the headcrab, we'll make one.
Green is not a creative colour.
