Of course. However for the first playable release I only want to have North America with playable nations. We'll gradually add nations in future updates.

It's not that it's hard to do, it will only make a lot of compatibility issues in future updates.

I don't know exactly how the ideology system was developed. In response to your question, all colonies in the US, China, India, USSR, etc. will have permanent claimes/cores on their original territory. Regarding the change of country name & flag, this will be done once the nation you're playing owns all their core states again. For example, if you play the Enclave and gain all the former US territory (including Canada following the lore) you will be able to do a national focus and change the Enclave into some kind of Fascist US, as the Enclave is pretty fascist tbh.
