Actually no. Asad Babil was downgraded from even T-72M1.
Bascilly what Iraq had:
T-72M1 - Barebones model for export, without ERA, ATGM, Flir, shooted tank shells from 50's which USSR used in training.
Saddam Tank - T-72M1 with some parts missing, replaced with Iraqi made ones, like cast steel instead of real laminated steel.
Asad Babil - Even bigger downgrade of downgrade, it had no NBC system. No protection from radiation. No thermal optics, only flashlight. No air conditioning. It was even worse that T-34.
That is beautiful. :)
thank u
Asad Babil means "Lion of Babylon" right?

Wasn't Asad Babil different tank based on T-72M1? So was also Saddam tank.
as i know Asad Babil is T-72M1 but with different name xD
