There has been some recent updates for the Star Trek versus Star Wars mod. First of all a new patch came out for it that fixes some problems with some of the ship styles and also adds new graphics, new ship styles, and new techs. Also a brand new add-on was released where it changes all the Major and Minor races to Star Wars including each having unique tech trees and improvements. The Borg Invasion add-on has been discontinued because there was some major bugs in it. Thats it for now and I hope you enjoy this mod!

Hi and thanks for playing this mod! As for your question, I think you are either refering to the Borg or to Species 8472, right? Well there is an add-on available right now that changes the Dread Lords into the Borg, you can download that add-on at:

Although that add-on probably wont be available to much longer because it seems to cause some bugs that I cant figure out how to solve yet. As of right now though, I dont have any plans for Species 8472. But you never know maybe I will include them someway into the mod.

First of all make sure that you have the current version of GC2 which I believe is 2.03, then before you unzip the mod files, delete all raceconfig and save files from this directory at:
My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor

Then if you dont have the \Mods\Default in the Twilight directory, you will have to make it manually. And unzip the mod files there. Then start the game and click options, then use mod, then under current mods directory click change then click default, and that should be pointing to this directory at:
C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\Twilight\Mods\Default

The last update for the slow expansion add-on was on 2-23-10, so if you downloaded it before 2-23-10 then yes you will need to download it again. And thanks again for your interest in this mod. :)

There are a couple of new add-ons to this mod that are now available. The Mandalorian add on will replace the Vulcan Race with the Mandalorian Race. This includes thier own unique tech tree, ships, and improvements. And the Borg Invasion add on will replace the Dread Lords with the Borg, replace the Borg with the Mandalorian race, replace the Vulcan race with the Autobot race, and replace the Pirates with the Orion Pirates. So try downloading that along with the patch and see if it works. As far as the best mod directory I think is the one in the read me file, but all thats really important is that the mod is in the same directory that the game itself is looking for it. And by the way, your PC should be fine to run this mod.

I am sorry you are having troubles. And are you using the latest version of my mod? And are you using any add-ons to it? What are the specs on your computer?

First of all make sure that the mod is installed in just one folder and not multiple folders. You need to make sure that its the same folder the game itself is looking at, so to find out when you start the title screen click Options and then check use mod and then click change under that, and that will tell you what folder the game is looking at. Also this mod does requires more computer resources than the vanilla game, so make sure your PC can handle it.

Also some people have been having crashes because a couple of files were corrupted, you can redownload those files at:

And also make sure before you play the mod to delete any Raceconfig or save files in the My Games\GC2TwilightArnor folder.

Hi, just wanted everyone to know that a new add on is released. This is called the High Performance add on. This will greatly reduce the resolution of the graphics and thus reduce the amount of memory used during game saves. This add on will increase the duration of your game play before you get an "out of memory" error code. With the right settings you can even finish a complete game on a Huge map with this add on.
