Thats simple. Go to Mods\yodenmod2017\Data\Text and rename MasterTextFile to fit your current game language.

AI not working is 99% related to previously installed mods. Make a clean install of your game.

So your mod won't work with steam version is that correct?
EDIT: nvm I found the free gog version you mentioned ;-)
