Agreed. Some time ago it was said the team was working on a CoP version, but no news was ever heard after that.

I remember a long, long time ago it was stated LURK for CoP was being worked on alongside 1.1 for SoC.
What happened to that? Given up on the idea?
With the mod now downloading, its time to set a shutdown timer to go off in 30mins, and go to sleep
Will totally add you tomorrow though dude
Upload should be concluding any time now
Awesome dude.
It may be 4am here, but no way im getting a wink of sleep without atleast a few minutes of 1.1.
Hot damn why cant they just use a bot to scan the files when theyre uploaded.
edit: making some coffee and waiting up for the megaupload
brb prepping nukes to land on holdens house
Expecting perfectly implemented, balanced, and bug fixed blowouts.

30% = 256,000kb

On a slightly related note, I failed calculus.
Twice.
An update - no matter how brief - would go a long way.
Even a "sorry guys I just dont think we'll get this done better 2011" is better than nothing.
Theres been no serious activity on the BMS youtube channel for half a year.
Holden, sent you a PM about your need for people to do voice overs.
I personally would like to encourage Holden to delay the mods release to August. Im sure we can all agree rushing these things is always a bad idea.
I dont think that CoD invented attachments.
However the series popularised it and thats bad enough.
The zone is a rough and poor place. For the same reason that Barrett .50s arent around every corner, any rifle glass (especially holographics and reflex sights) should be incredibly rare, if at all present.
Reasons?
-Dependant on conditions. Muddy ground/bright day? Better leave your sight at home.
-Expensive
-Negligible benefits over irons versus their cost
-Some of these sights are battery powered. Good luck getting a pair of AAs in the zone.
It would be silly to have Stalkers, who barely have enough roubles to buy themselves a properly functioning shooter, running around with these things. And to get your hands on one of these in such a part of the world would be a real pain in the *****.
If I had it my way, for the sake of immersion, it should only be cheap Soviet block weaponry floating about, but its Holdens (and his teams) mod, not mine.
Holden in a private message has told me that the mod will be released tonight at midnight GMT. Charge your ethernet cables, because we're playing JURK 1.1 tonight!
My name is SuicideDivision and I approve of this Holden
Updates like that really help restore order into the community that LURK has formed. In the end, we're only here because we're huge fans of the work of you and your team.
Thanks.
8 months do develop the mod from scratch, over 6 months (and this looks only to increase) to release an update?
lul
Hot damn now I feel like an ***. Hey, my excuse is im tired.
Well played.
The new news update sounds absolutely fantastic. Excellent work.
Just one thing though...
"Heartbeat Sensor, and optional perk upgrades available at Repair vendors, including Stopping Power and Magnum Rounds."
Come on Holden, really? Remember this is Stalker. You can get away with a masterkey, but the rest of those items are plain silly.
Perhaps offer a tactical choice between different round types (Hollowpoint vs FMJ), but please none of these juvenile call of duty style gameplay elements.
To me this sounds like you either have insufficient/malfunctioning RAM or something on your hard disc is screwing.
Nothing in this game should be taking more than 5 minutes to load, even if you do have older hardware.
I can strongly, strongly assure you that if you get hit once or twice with a full sized cartridge such as a 7.62x57mmR or .30-06, you will not live to tell the tale.
Im not sure where you got this impression, but pistol ammunition such as 9mm and .45 is completely outclassed by intermediate and full sized stuff.
Unrealistic =/= unbalanced, bro.
I love realism, but balance always comes first. Having dogs drop with 2-3 hits will make them a pretty... well, undangerous opponent.
