Age of the Ring is such a great mod, that it makes you forget the fact that it's build on a 2006 game by people who do this as a hobby.

It's not only the fact that it has the most beautiful models ever seen on a Lotr game, or the original content like epic maps, amazing CaH that makes you feel personally invested in the game, or their unique takes on factions; but also the fact that they are both true to their vision and yet, listen to the fans (despite the fact that sometimes we can be annoying just out of hunger from your work).

I just played the campaign and it made me realize something important about this project. Not only do I get increasingly amazed by the quality of the models (you can even see the little rings that compose the chain mail and the ripples on the fabric of some heroes!), but when I saw the maps, the animations (holly god...) and the perfect recreations of scenes from the movies, plus books, plus their own material and appalling easter eggs; I realized that this mod is done with love.

I was a little afraid that you had been slowing down progress or something but after playing... boi was I wrong!

I could go on for hours talking about every detail, but for now...Keep it up guys, you are truly amazing
