Hi There.
Hmmm - I'm not sure about whether SLI would be causing issues. Try taking out one of your cards - a single 570 should be enough to run at a decent frame rate.
Please report back either way.

Its clearly explained in the description above under Installation.
Try it without the config.txt. The config tweaks the shadows (amongst other things) which can be taxing in some cases.
Absolutely not. They are not compatible.
All of the known fixes are in the Troubleshooting section above. Please actually try these fixes rather than thinking "na that won't work" because in the majority of cases if you go through and try these things it will fix your game. Do a CLEAN INSTALL of the latest beta graphics drivers from nVidia or AMD
I think Destructoid's review of the game was one of the only publications not to get caught up in the hype. Basically its a game full of niggles - each one barely worth griping about but overall it is very unsatisfying. The best things were the outposts, stealth and the main story-related character models (which arguably they poured too much resource into). The UI is truly truly horrific.
Refer above. Do a CLEAN INSTALL of the latest drivers (beta version) for your card. Wipe your graphics card settings.
LOL. Yeah FC3 wasn't great I have to say and I did a playthrough and 100% of towers and outposts. It just feels wrong.
You can turn down pre-rendered frames to fix your mouse-lag. Make sure the setting in your graphics card matches the settings in the config.txt
Scroll Lock button.
Dylan I've been playing Far Cry 3 a fair bit. Interestingly, the vanilla damage model is now far more realistic (except for large/dangerous animals which are bullet sponges) and the enemy behaviour is more rational. Enemies seem to get out of their cars to shoot you rather than run you down, and won't follow you if its too much effort. Vehicle physics have improved greatly and vehicles really skid around now and lose traction on steep roads. The first-person feel is enhanced and if you jump off something too high you will stumble and fall on your face and climbing is no longer a huge chore.
However, they have sacrificed the terrific immersion that FC2 had. There is a perma-mini-map that is ugly and obtrusive instead of realistic GPS, the M map is full-screen, difficult to use, pauses the game and is ugly and there are constant pop-up HUD elements including on-screen mission markers etc. Also, one thing that cuts me to the core is enemies don't seem to have an injured state like they did in FC2 where they would hobble to the nearest tree and often shoot you in the back when you thought they were dead. They've gotten rid of the amazing buddy rescue-ready system from FC2 also.
My point is FC3 is going to take some modding to become what FC2 has become.
Hi bloodusckern, can you please elaborate on your comment. If you are referring to the video above, this is an old video for v1.0 that moddb.com staff added to the news post - I guess to make it more interesting even though its unrelated to v1.1. Can you please (a) look at the photos on the mod's homepage and (b) play the mod then (c) take screenshots to show what you mean? The mod is under development and I am open to critical feedback but it needs to be substantiated.
Hi L3d - the game should run faster at lower resolutions. However, I have heard problems with resolution changing in FC2. If you are getting lower FPS in lower resolutions then check your GPU utilisation in MSI afterburner. It should be 100%. Let me know if I can help at all.
Hi There. Based on yours and a lot of other people's feedback and my own experiences I have released v1.1 of the mod. The difficulty any graphics modders face with this game is you have super-bright desert mixed with pitch black lush forest.
What I have managed to do is many tweaks to get it looking good in all different settings. They key was (a) shadow gamma adjustments and (b) I've created a config.txt to execute in-game tweaks and settings to standardize everyone's back-end so there is a more uniform experience.
I'm uploading 1.1 shortly so give it a go and let me know what you think.
SMAA, Lumasharpen, HDR, Vibrance, Cineon enhancement. Have you actually played the game with it enabled?
Thanks Dylan. This graphics mod combined with your realism mod is quickly making this one of my favourite games of all time. I absolutely love it now!
Dylan you are a legend. I've gone from 2 hours playtime on steam from the vanilla game - I couldn't stomach its flaws - to 21 hours playing your 1.3 mod and declaring that this has to be one of my favourite games of all time.
However, you HAVE TO play this game with my graphics config I released yesterday - in cohorts with your mod it elevates this game to spectacular heights.
I see you've commented on the release and glad you enjoyed it! I am linking to your mod in my comments section.
