me? i'm fan of arma and battlefield series, but tend more to bf because i don't like camping style of gameplay, i prefer rush. i guess, it's because i've got rushin' soul. hehe. i don't like nazis, so if you don't like them also, we can become friends. we don't tolerate gays in russia, so if you also don't like homosexuals, we can become even more than just friends... brüder im geiste. also, all my messages lack of capital letters (if no spellcheck correction) for some reason, no matter what language I use. pls, no offence

I have a feeling that if Scotland secedes from the UK, then it may be the beginning of the end for the EU as a whole.

Well, back to the blissful sleep of ignorance for Scotland, and independence is pushed back for yet another generation.

yep, while some people ready to die for freedom, some prefer to have a shepherd. i can't discuss Scots' choice, because i don't know much about their culture and how they are dependent on GB. still, i'm sure, that if this referendum was able to change something, it would never be conducted. EU policy, you know:)

True, and while I share the same ignorance on Scottish affairs as you do, I was of the opinion that any change that has GB, the EU, and even NATO worried, can't be such a bad thing. (Within reason of course, I'm certainly not saying ISIS is a good thing.)

Scotland could be independent as it has the resources for it, still the necessary changes would require them to drop some of the commodities they now enjoy while being a part of UK. Basically independence would require making sacrifices on the short term and people usually only think about the short term. One of our groups of islands (ours as in belonging to Portugal) which enjoys certain independence in terms of government actually wanted to be fully independent but then someone must have reminded them that the thousands of millions they spend come from the continental part of the country and so they would pretty much have no money of their own in just a few days as an independent country.

yep, your point is about economic dependence. one can't just go "independent" in modern world. if something small wants to be "independent", it must have a big powerful "friend" to support it (examples: Abkhazia, Ossetia, Crimea and Novorossiya). an exclusion is also present - Northern Korea.

besides economical factor, there is also such thing as cultural self-determination. if you part of something big, you will eventually assimilate its culture, forgetting about your own. for example, Belarus (european country) is so tied to Russia, that they forgot their own language and speak Russian instead. Belarusian language is still being taught in schools, but no one speaks it anyway. who knows, maybe in 50 more years of GB rule nobody will remember Scottish history and culture, kilts and bagpipes, William Wallace, etc.

I'm laughing so hard at the butt-hurt karma trolling that is going on here. Hey, Mr. Invisibles, why not come up with a counterpoint if you hate us so much? Surely it would be reasonably easy to "debunk" our statements if they're so incorrect. Why not give it a try?
