I'm not sure, but there is a bug that when you check dead mutants inventory they change from enemy to frindly and vica versa, but that shouldn't be a problem when they are alive.

The weapon I have no idea.

There is also a bug reporting at the forum for this mod so it would be smart to look for answers in the forum and post their problems on the forum too.

If any important person dies so you can't progress the main quest I belive you can just buy the information from the trader you first meet(Sidovrich or something, I don't remember).
