The variantmodel files control the uniforms and parts. I would reinstall the mod and DO NOT use any other mod with this one. With all of issues suddenly noted above, I think people are confusing this with an UNAPPROVED and pirated sub-mod...

See the User Guide and follow that exactly, your user.script file is not correct/in the proper location.

Western PA but now live near Gettysburg. I just did my research and used period maps as best as I could. Many maps are hard to find good resources for and some are from multiple maps, which are sometimes really in contrast to one another. Thanks for the comments!

Your user.script file should have only the ACW files in it.

The install steps are the same for all editions. Please read the User Guide. If you need a scripts folder, create on in the correct location, as described in the guide.

Flags are still faction based but I am pretty sure regiments could be done but that is very complex and you have to change a drummer or fife player to use flag equipment...then you have to create a unique 'flag' unit for each regiment (unit_variant). That's a huge effort. :)

I have the best maps for reference but no good photo information on which I based the map. I placed assets as they are available in the base game. I am certain many maps have the wrong 'type' of structure in some places as I do the best I can with the reference material available. Changing out the trees is not a big deal as it's a reference in the scripts/tree files. However, any changes would require a new release and that's not happening for some time as I am extremely busy now.

This is an issue that is generally video driver related and keep in mind this is a 10 year old game :) I do not have this graphic issue unless there is a very high amount of action/graphic demands going on.

You may have another mod in place or are running another non-supported or approved mod of this project. The arty is not broken or there would be countless other posts about it. If you are running the game with small unit sizes, that may impact you but without EXACT and specific units/gun types named, this is not at all helpful.

Thru the Multiplayer function. The steps are in the User Guide. Be careful what set up you choose based on your PC. Generally you want to play the defender as it's easier on the AI and your CPU to do the attacking.

You need to completely quit the game then delete the boot file. You may need to restart your PC to clear it from memory and definitely have Steam closed.

It is impossible to make a campaign in Napoleon Total War. If it were, I would have done so, I assure you. ETW has nothing in comparison to this mod for maps and diversity. It's great for what it is and I have thought of asking to build off of it but that's a lot of time I don't have now.

By late 2020 I hope. A lot of life situation changes plus the pandemic stuff. Time is more limited but I have several maps in various states and a few new scenarios in the works. I may have some major additions but not giving that away yet :)

I am not sure if this version would work on a Mac. I have no experience with Macs and gaming/mod work. I would suggest checking twcenter.net and see if there is any information there.

No. I could take things backward, but that is a huge effort as well. To acquire and leverage the work of the Empire team would be possible but not worth the years...yes, years, of work to get it functional.

No. I have answered this a number of times. The Napoleon version of the Total War engine does not allow for a campaign map to be made and the Empire maps are not compatible.

I am not a model maker. I have no interest in the time it would take to create ironclad models. Trust me, I know far more than most people think they do about the war. Naval combat in THIS mod is irrelevant. To recreate the ships and to do the proper development is not worth the effort.

All units are rated according to quality, A-E or 1-6 if you prefer. Reload speeds are balanced along with all other unit stats. Longer artillery range would negatively impact play. Cannon are typically reduced to 1/2 their actual range as is.
