I'll admit, I wonder why walking human corpses would mostly be found in largely uninhabited areas...?

Okay, I have to admit: I really only got to play a few hours of this. That said, what I *did* play was often surprising and *extremely* impressive.
I'm frankly amazed that this has not garnered more attention on this particular site. (Though I'm very glad to see that NWVault is at least somewhat of a different story.)
I could go into more detail; but above all, excellent job!
Ohh, Girolamo...
Actually, if one believes all the free-to-play MMO advertisements that have been circulating the internet, one would get the idea that *everyone* plays them for that reason.
Well, that *does* explain your new avatar.
"MURDERER AND TRAITOR!"
That's an awful lot of text for a *single* forehead. XD
Gee. *One* guess as to what could possibly happen when no one else is in the party.
Also extremely understandable.
That said, I hope I can assure you that there is a *very* good reason for "protagonizing" the series this way.
I personally believe that even players who are less fond of the initial restricting will, should they see the first module through, come to find value in the results.
Oh, no no. Virtually all of the writing that you've seen thus far has been done by none other than Knight himself. So, by all means, give *him* the credit where credit is due.
For at least this very first module, I'm mostly just a consultant. And, when the time comes, I'll largely only be writing some very specific instances; namely, four of the five available romance subplots. In any case, however, I do hope that you'll find my own work to be distinguishable enough.
I also do understand what you mean by that last suggestion. While that's not as possible as it ideally should be, I hope it'll satisfy you to hear that (as undoubtedly male as I am) I at least consider myself to be a rather female-conscious person. So while I'm not going to end up writing most of Lucia's dialogue myself, I'll certainly be the first to say something on the off-chance that she occassionally sounds too male for her own good. (And, if it says anything, the two female-centric romances also happen to fall under my writing "jurisdiction".)
If I may:
(For the understandably uninformed, I'm a writer-consultant for this project.)
Because it's admittedly been a good while since the fact was mentioned, (ergo, since coverage began focusing on this particular module as opposed to the series as a whole) I feel it's probably worth reminding that Equilibrium of the Night is explicitly intended to be the *only* module of the Celeritas Eos series - of the the four that are planned - that will be designed with a set protagonist in mind. All three of the latter modules are, at this point, planned to feature a fully-customizable main character of the *player's* design.
So even if Equilibrium of the Night isn't going to be a player's "cup of tea" for that specific reason, (and it *is* understandable, by all means) I'd still very much encourage them to try one of the later modules once they become available.
That right there is some chillingly convenient-looking framing.
Is this *supposed* to be listed as a demo?
This is like what would happen if Nigel Thornberry ever went deaf the minute before he featured in a song recording.
I used to have a Demon Souls disc that got scratched up to the point where the loading screens would literally never end if I tried to go anywhere other than the Nexus.
Had *this* ever started playing during one of the "countdowns to the off-switch", I would have definitely snapped said disc in two right on the spot.
