I'm glad you like it. I will keep working on it, but right now I have a lot of schoolwork and other projects, and the editor has been buggy as hell since the last patch. The next version will be bug fixes.

I want you guys to know that I will be releasing these for download in the future, when I get to a version that isn't likely to be changed much. Playtesting is coming pretty slow, since I have a limited number of people helping me on it, and we also play regular SC2 a lot.

The main reason I haven't released the maps is because I change and upload them often (like, a few times a week). I don't want you to have to visit and dl a map every few days to keep up with the changes and additions. When I get to a version whose new content is well balanced with the old content, I will try to keep that version up for a long time and release the maps under it.

Banshees were too good in vanilla. Now, they do the same damage, but can't cloak. Wraiths and Vikings do conflict, since wraiths are supposed to be air control.
Vultures AND firebats replace hellions. Vultures can still micro and kill any zealot/lings/workers very well (plus mines are cool), while firebats have the spread damage to kill large amounts of small melee units.

After morphing, an orbital command has about 110 energy. This means the terran can use two abilities off the bat. However, MULEs harvest way less than they used to. Two MULEs in this mod harvest just under the amount that a single MULE harvests in vanilla.

Hydras are actually identical to their SC1 version now. I considered this when I moved them down. Roaches may also move up, I'm playing with them. They're one of the harder units to balance. Void rays come out more quickly, but they only do damage to massive targets now, rather than armored (which included buildings). Void ray balance is a tough one, and I will probably end up changing it in the future as well.

The thing I agree with you on is marauders. I was actually debating taking these out, because firebats are bio "tanks" (and because marauders aren't unique). I haven't done that much live playtesting yet, so most of this list is theorycraft. Some of these may even be terrible ideas that just look good on paper. If they are, they will be changed.

Yes. Unfortunately I am only able to publish this on American servers. People have been asking for this in Europe especially. I'm currently looking into it. The biggest problem with doing this is I won't personally be able to update the maps when I make changes, so there will be different versions floating around.

Like I said, I'm looking into it. All I can really tell you is to complain to Blizzard about the region-locking thing.

They haven't released StarTools for the editor yet, so the extent to what I'm able to add is static models (and I'm not a modeler anyway). I'd like to put in defilers and reavers, but I don't have models/animations for them.

There are many reasons for not adding some units. In the case of the scout, I don't think it's necessary for toss to have them. Void Rays accomplish much the same goal, except they kill massive targets more quickly and look way cooler.

I'm trying not to make units useless. Can you give examples of units or abilities you think are useless because of these changes?

Defilers aren't a model that came with the editor. I have them in a test build using the scantipede (critter) model. I definitely want to put them in, they're a really cool unit. You'll see them soon ;)

Right, I forgot about the region locking. I'd really like to get this out to as many people as possible. The problem with doing this is I update the maps all at once whenever I release a new version, and that version won't carry over to Europe or Korea servers. I'd also have to upload the mod data itself (the dependency), which is something I do not want to do for quality control reasons.

A download for what? The maps can only be played through the editor and through Battle.net. They are on Battle.net.

AutoSnipe does have the side-effect of draining all your ghosts energy. Yes, you can basically make them anti-bio photon cannons, but then you don't get to use their cloak or lockdown should you need it. It's a double-edged sword. Also, I cheated in the vid and gave them unlimited energy. One ghost will only be able to snipe 4 times from max energy.

I cheated for infinite energy for the demo. Each ghost will only be able to use snipe 4 times before running out of energy (it costs 50).

Yes, that's how I'm making this mod. Those units, however, won't be available in default multiplayer. This is for people who want to use them in a competitive environment.
