Like many other asian market games I haven't heard or seen it. From wikipedia: released in Japan in July 2008, North America in December 2008, and Europe in March 2009. We got it 8 months later than Japan and the game came for ps2 after the ps3 was released. I doubt anyone not being a die hard ps2 fan will know this.

If u mentioned it, perhaps some category didnt fit enough to enter western game market CMIIW. Like some genre, style, gameplay, graphic, etc.

while not remembering anything in particular this is often the case with anime or manga games. Xenosaga was one of them releasing not all episodes worldwide. There are also name changes and adjustments with the ingame names to make them appeal more to the west. a USA kid wouoldn't want to be called Makoto or Yamada in his game.

Yep i got your point. The developer of game even did some major change in the game itself (excluding the ENGLISH language part of course).
For example is the game released in Japan has many concent than the international version (ENGLISH). The content in some game has been editted/changed/cut if it were about to release worldwide ... even the cutscrene.

PLUS : They sometimes dubbed the original soundtrack (japanese version) into ENGLISH (Some game have english voice in movie/ending/cutscene with JAPANESE accent lol).
But im fine with it as long they dont change gameplay, or anything major in game :D
