Yes I am aware that stone castles only started to come around after the events of 1066. I posted these images to show the detail of the mod before I edited many of the scenes. Thanks for informing me anyway. I will post new images of scenes soon :)

Yes, I've changed that now. I just haven't updated the page sorry.
No I haven't implemented Freelancer.
Shield Wall images coming soon ;)
The mods release depends on how much work gets done, I'm always busy so I couldn't say exactly when. It is possible for a release next month however.
Good luck with the mod, it's looking good :)
When the mod will be released is still uncertain since there is still much I'd like to do. However the mod is progressing well so it is possible for a release this month or next.
I think my use of the Saxon character in most pictures doesn't help distinguish the difference between the mods haha. This mod focuses on more of a gritty atmosphere, a wide range of weapons and armour (from Norman kite shields and long spears to short Saxon hatchets, etc...). The combat in this mod is also a lot harder than most mods, for example you won't spend more than 10 seconds against a heavy armoured Thane with a woolen top and bent sword. So much like the era you'll find yourself hiding away in shield walls a substantial amount of time.
I've updated the page to show the factions now, which I should have done sooner.
Normans are South of the map, Saxons are central, North East coast are Norway, and the sparse white coloured settlements are part of the Christian Church. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for the support, and the first news article has a list of the factions.
Some map locations still need renaming and will be changed soon.
Yes, there are many villages surrounding towns and castles throughout the map other than the mountainous reaches of Scotland :)
I'll be posting news shortly :)
Saxon, Norway(Viking), Norman, Northumbrian, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, and possibly more.
Thank you, minimal lag as well I'm glad to say.
I'm going to try my best to develop the mod with as much detail possible. I am very much considering adding freelance and diplomacy but at this current stage the mod is being developed to be a full on medieval experience. I hope this helps, thank you for your support.
The mod map is based on Medieval Britain.
