well i've been playing this mod since it's early days; (Ok, so it's only been a little more than a year) it was the day before 1.9.0 was released, and on the front of my favourite gaming magazine's demo disc, was a HL2 modification called "SourceForts"

"I've heard about this one before," I thought to myself as I opened the case and inserted the disc into my CD drive, "I wonder if it's any good."

Well, let me tell you - that was one of the best mods that had ever happened to me - I joined a game on the classic map sf_abandon, after having 10 minutes of build practice in a LAN server by myself. There were pieces everywhere, walls surrounding our flag (which was 15 metres in the sky), with towering ramps everywhere. I spotted an enemy carrying a block as a shield, and equipped the first weapon i could find. Little did I know that the weapon I had equipped was the freeze gun. I soon died.

Now more than a year later, I am still hooked by this mod, and can't wait for version 2.0.0, with its bug fixes, visual upgrades, and most importantly, it will become a Total Conversion..
