I can’t get the translation to work properly yet. More or less I seem to be getting the variable names for the text, instead of the text itself. (Ie: loadout_1!instead of the name of the option, or loadout_1_desc instead of the description.) It’s made the game more or less unplayable for me, so if anyone knows how to fix the issue, it would be appreciated.

What’d You figure out? I can’t seem to get the translation to work properly. Everything is like mm_ui_continue, vs just continue, or loadout_1_desc instead of the description. It makes it more or less impossible to play, sadly.

Same here, did you find a solution? I just have all this wierd text where you get the variable name for the text, instead of the text itself. (ie: loadout_1_desc for whatever the description of loadout 1 is supposed to be)

I didn't have any particular issues with install. The new repack has 4 files in it. A setup file and 3 bin containers.

Just run the Setup file and choose the default buttons to get through the installer. The only thing you need to change is the folder where it will install Dead Air. You can hit the button to the right to browse your computer, find and select your Call of Pripyat folder. Then continue with selecting the default options until it is finished installing the mod.

Once it is complete, browse to your Call of Pripyat folder and go into the Dead Air folder. Unzip the english translation file and copy the "gamedata" folder into this Dead Air folder.

Run Dead Air by using the shortcut it created on your desktop and change the localization to english in the game menu if needed (4th Menu option > 3rd Menu option to get to the correct page). You might have to restart the game for it to take effect.

I was able to start a new game and wander a bit without any issues. I hope that helps some people.

The solution - Only problem is that my game is now running in russian, and I can't seem to select english (Solution - Change rus to eng after the 4th, then 3rd menu options were seleted, only issue is the wierd menu translations (Ie: mm_ui_continue vs Continue))

Do what this guy has figured out. It's just gotten me to finally launch the game without issues :D

Did you get it to work? I haven't been able to get past the X-Ray engine launcher popup, without the game having opened at all.

Yes, I'm using:
All the upgrades - Removes need for toolsets
Realsound - Re-does gun sounds
Minimap mod - adds minimap
Binocs&Sidearms; - You can put a sidearm in the binoc slot
XRay Pedia - The mod on this page

Did that, it didn't seem to help any, sadly. Pretty sure I had the same files before anyhow, since I just downloaded it today.

Same here, dunno why it doesn't work.

EDIT: Tried using the fsgame file in the download, doesn't seem to have helped any.

Same here, it just crashes before it gets to the menu screen, will comment back here if I can figure it out.

Any idea as to how I could merge this with les miserables? Seems like they shouldn't overwrite each other, but do (I assume trader prices lists etc), and would be wonderful to run together. If you guys/gals could offer some advice on how to do so, it would be really helpful. I have tried to see if they have only 1 or 2 files differed, which i might be able to do fix via educated guess and check of file content changes (move this line here etc) but with over 100 matching files, I really don't know what do do.

I am confused, I wanted to add some weapons to my stalker complete game but am confused, why is everything marked outdated? is there a way to install the mod with stalker complete? Am I missing something? I know this is an old mod but please do respond.
