Week 14, Hmmmm....
The majority of this week could be on new races. As I have been neglecting them. :p Oh and helping the person I care for with brain injury recovery from consumption of Delta 9 Tetrahydracannibinol.
Also I shall be having an intellectual property break to check on all I have done to be sure it breaks no IP issues as I am almost able to get animated models into the game. :p

Rampage update, now I figured out what was infront of the driver. :p
Something that was mentioned in the chapter approved many many years ago. :)

The pic in the folder shows the original design.

I have modified it slightly to make it more DOW worthy and more battle ready.

I added a gunner that is just infront of the driver, now I know what it is. :) LoL. I couldnt figure out what it was for a while.

Tex Im not sure about as its standard Dark eldar tex.
holes cappped on the driver.
Gunner is collapsed as I cant see it needing to move. :)

Just wanted to get the shape from the forums into a concept model.
-I found a few issues with the skin again and i am not sure how it turns out for you.
-The torso skin seems to be disrupting the continuity of the leg joins to the torso.
Do you see that issue too?
-I fixed the head skins.
-I am not that affluent with skinning yet to be able to do the torso skins and not screw it up.
-I think it could use a real tex. as the leg area is a little low on tex quality.
-I skinned the fingers and attached them to the finger bones.
-I felt I needed feedback on the idea of the conversion into the game.
-I know at its current scale, I believe the lua would need to scale it.

Its not perfect, but I am willing to work on it, If it is wanted for the mod. All comments would be appreciated. :) Pass it around and any comment from anyone would be appreciated. Heck let them make modifacations to it and call it their own. I care not. Its about the game not the fame on my part.

I would be promoting Demetrius into doing more work to the Dreadknight as he can be shown how to turn it into a tex, then welding vericies on the old model and uvw work to get the old tex applied to the new model and have the same look with less vertex. As I am doing with the 3 cherubs I am doing for the sisters.

Hmmm I seem to have used some of the C2C models and there seems to also be Intellectual property issues on the forums. Discussed below.
I can quickly use the soulstorm mesh and work it to the new race needs. If Demetrius is accepted into the mod and wants to do a grey knights race?

Now I have figured out how easy it is to get them animated and prepared to go further. Or it seems easy from my perspective. :p

# Grey knight ancients

Rendered grey knights and inquisitors from late RT and 2nd ed. :)

I have 20 of these terminators and 4 inquisitors from back in 2nd Ed which made up more then 2000 pts. All deep striking. :) Man It was fun to use one of the full terminator armies back in the day. :p

-I see it being played as a quick strong strike force that only has elite units, which can all deep strike.
-The downside would be longer build times. As you would need to take into account the time it took the thunderhawk to transport more units to the surface or for the teleporters of the machine god to be blessed and righteously reset.
-I am thinking of having the thunderhawk as their only building style and having it movable like the portable building of the eldar.
-Vulnerable bases early game. :)
-Also a thunderhawk make over would be necessary to go along with the meshes of the Grey Knights and inquisistors.
-Might include a teleport relay to give the deepstriking capacity to units on the ground, with slower recharge for the GKs.
-I was thinking about having them ship to surface bombardment heavy
-I was slo wondering if you could have it with an annihilate condition against chaos players in game. and that would be its win condition and then it would leave the game. A quick strike force with a purpose.

Sister Famulous/Nunciate can call on many guard units and pdf, as her fame is so far spread that they will fight to protect her. These are like conscripted guardsmen that fight along side the famous sister. :)
There is a simple fix in the rgd rename for this.
guard_infantry_guardsmen.rgd
into:
sisters_famulous_guard.rgd
and of course the rest of the coding would need to be applied, but it would be the easiest unit to get into sisters at a quick time.

One squad built per famulous/ Nunciate.

As listed in the chapter approved 2002 I believe. :) Blank black cover.

Sister Famulous/Nunciate will have to be rescaled in the LUA I believe so she is more to scale of the other sisters. When rescaled she will be lither and more exquisite then the other sisters which I think is splendid for what she is.
There is a lot of Bip01 and spine work being done, as well as envelopes for the feet as they werent enveloped correctly. :(
Otherwise she is coming along well. I shall see about her wtp. I believe I can get away with the old wtp but I am not sure and if I do want to change it, it means I will have to change the entire tex name and all files for the tex. RSH/WTP. I feel I need her to match the army colour unlike the hospitalier/Curia.

Also given the living saint is a part of the sister famulous, I feel her armour suits the other sister famulous/Nunciate well.

Nunciate is the equivalent to the famulous in the dark heresy RP.

# animating the mesh

I need the sisters squads sets of animations to work with as I have been unable to get them. :) I think it could be my version of max. :(
I am tempted to borrow the witch hunters set.

Got any tips for animating meshes?
As some of them are starting to get a little funky. :p
I am finding with the Nunciate that I am having to remove animations below the bip01 so she doesn't look too strange. :p any idea why?
Could it be that I haven't attached the foot bones to the master?

I must apologize if some of my animations are jerky, but i am still learning how to tweak the animation box when the object is selected.

# Intellectual property issues.

When someone looks like they are breaching or could possiby breach intectual property they need to be advised about it. And it looks like with the grey knights using the C2C I did.

The purifiers and interceptors for the grey knights are based off of the C2C models. I am not sure if they could be used without a large amount of issues from the C2C persons.
The tex are suitable for the C2C team to use and I have no problems developing the tex for them.
As with teh nemesis force falchions, they are based off of the older C2C sword. Which could breach IP.
If Demetrius is interested in doing Grey knights I can morph the original soulstorm GK into purifiers and interceptors as well as the falchion variant and all purgation.
The GK Terms arent IP braeches as they based off of the Soulstorm GK.
If demetrius is acepted into the team and wants to do a GK, I could easily whip them up and have them animated in a week. :p
It is only a few extrudes/tesselates/UVWs/vertex moves. As I see how the Original creator of the C2C did it. :p

I understand why you have been suggesting for me to work with primitives unless I use models specifically from any of the DOWs.

How would I be able to get in contact with some of the modellers of the models I have modified to get authority to use these modified models in these works?
Grey knights are the best example I can think of as they are C2C models.
There are possibly more models I may of modified that would breach IP

You can see full well that with anything I have done that I have no issue with people modifying it to make it better then my poor deprecated skill set can at this point.

I will endeavor to go back through the list of models I have submitted and list the models original author, unless it isn't necessary?
I must apologize as I thought by now that the community would of been intelligible enough to overcome the intellectual property claim and work as a super community for the benefit of all members.

Grey knights use C2C Models, but I can fix that. :) Pretty fast.

Grot bomm launcha, could be suspect as it uses a vehicle that I do not know where it come from. I believe it is in the DOW Apocalypse mod.

Chaos marine banner/icon bearers use models that come out of the apocalypse mod folder. So I dont think there is an issue there unless otherwise stated?

Tyranid modifications come from the Nids mod.

Vanus assassin comes from the daemon hunters mod and was severely modified to look like the imagery of a vanus assassin from the horus heresy series.

Not as bad as I thought.

Most of my stuff is based on the DOW games, which is good for IP. If you have any concerns ask away and I will look into it further to see if I did get any particular model base from elsewhere.

# Markers/Helpers

I am guessing they are the items that are used for collision detection and also effects on the mesh. Is there anything else?

# Preparing models

I am finding vertex issues with the sisters. But this is in deep exploration, as 3ds max tells me nothing. and they file/export successfully to SGM.
Deep exploration is mentioning something about a different number of vertices. More in the mesh then the skin. So I am assuming that means that not all of the mesh has been skinned and that is no real issue with Max burn. Or is it?
empty meshes are being removed. I am assuming that you aren't having issue with empty meshes as the only thing I could think it could be would be the markers.
redundant nodes is another thing that is coming up and I am wondering if that is causing anyone any issue in the concept models I generated?
