It's been a while since I've blogged and I've been meaning to blog. Been over a year now. So I may aswell get started. I've always been told to leave my projects open ended and I suppose it's somewhat good that I've been openned to that. Apparently since the level for UT2D was popular and known, there were other games that applied the Sonic look in HD. Finally enough, there was Sega All Stars Tennis which was released in March 2008. Yep, from the guys that created Sonic All Star Racing also. So I've been out looking into it. I'm not sure why I don't do my research of Sega games. They are arcade games and sometimes, arcade games are played out of implusion, so I never look into Sega arcade line-up but funnily enough, when Sonic Colours was released, that's when I noticed how many of the mechanics which are usually found in Unreal were in the game. There were platforms that float and levels that looked like they were inspired by the unreal community, so I do wonder how Sega did their research. Also with Sonic Generations with classic Sonic in 2D, then I wonder where they got that from. I suppose it was an interesting way to give Sega the message. Not that I intended it. Last year, I spent all summer player Sonic All Star Racing Transformed and that really felt like it sucked my life away and I also gone out of my way to play the first racing game but I'm not so fussed about it. Anyways, my mod about MissD is still in development, I'm just fleshing out many parts and get what I want and out there but I keep not getting the kind of feeling that I want and some of my other research is adding value to the mod. There were levels I really want to map out and hopefully I'll get to release the mod in parts to cater what I want out there. It feels better that I have a plan and not struggle as I get along trying to see what works and what doesn't and that's the feeling I would like.
