An EXE is a script file which launches the program. This includes commands and is also a key to version change.(Every program and game has it, it's in your main DC directory - Usually C:Program Files:THQ:Dark Crusade)
There is a patch between 1.0 and 1.2.
Look for Dark Crusade 1.1 Patch
I suggest you take out the mod files before running the patches. After you're done with 1.1 and 1.2, you should put the mod files back again, launch the game and everything should be just fine.
It's probably not related to the mod. Did you change your Dark Crusade 'EXE' ?

I've been playing your mod for a few days (It's an awesome work) and suddenly after conquering a few provinces, I have noticed that AI-s can also have countless units.(Wouldn't be a problem, just increases a bit of difficulty.)But in a late encounter with the space marines, the AI got at least 50 terminator squads over half of the map, which suddenly resulted in enourmous amount of lag, and then fatal crash due to my low memory (1GB DDR2). However, I fixed this issue by re-conquering the province in a race against time, before he could advance to do such a thing. The other problem however... is unbearable. I've tried to annihilate chaos and right at the beginning he threw at least 12 deamon princes at me. In a recent battle, I've been murdered by 10 necron lords. Me (As the Imperial Guard) however,I can't even deploy 2 commander squads. Can you provide me with advice, or a bit of AI unit limitation ? It would be much appriciated, since I can't go any further with the game under these conditions.

WARNING! YOU MUST PATCH YOUR DARK CRUSADE TO 1.2 TO USE MODS!
(You don't need the original DOW game, only Dark Crusade)
Look for the patches on dawnofwar.filefront.com
1. Then extract mod files to main game directory
(Usually C:\Program Files\THQ\Warhammer 40k Dark Crusade)
2.Launch game-> Click 'Game Manager'-> Select No_Limit_Mod and press 'Activate'.
