I really dig the character designs you have posted thus far, but have to inquire a little into the enemies. Is the game mostly going to be human vs human or will there be separate species or animals as well that the main player has to fight. Just saying it might be something to think about as something like a mutated animal could be very realistic in the setting the game has been placed in.

These look good but are just so......overdone.

Thats really the only way to put it. Sure they may be slightly different in many ways but all of them are still basically the same sort of cryo suit seen in many games these days(crysis for instance)

A good idea may be to make them all more like a suit would probably look after this apocalypse. Mainly, some odd part here and there, clothes over it to blend in more with people, and less sort of high tech. Sure he may be an ex-Gi with mechanical parts, but that doesnt mean those parts were stylish and sleek, made to perfection like these drawings show. Honestly you should model more after the type of suits seen in games like Borderlands, Resistance, Brink, and Bulletstorm.

All in all they look good, but you should try to veer away from the sort of cliche super suit look and go with a little more gritty but cooler looking, patched together type of suit.
