I did. And I have the sound, I reinstalled the mod using a clean Manhunt 2 build and the sound was there.

PluginMH2 gets rid of that without needing dummy interactive execution prompts, not sure why people are still using that

The file you're looking for is in global/initscripts. It's called resource28.glg. You can use any text editor to edit it.
