Open up Resource Monitor in Windows and switch it to the "CPU" view. You can easily see how many cores you have here. However many you see here is what you would choose.
As for TQAE - none of these files would work tho I did make one at the request of MedeaFleecestealer which you can get here:

I have also talked to Wagi(a mod at the TQ Discord channel) and shared the code with him so I think he is planning on also making some form of this more widely available to the TQ community.
