Not dead, thank god! lol I just hit a lot of roadblocks with a lot of tough decisions on my plate DOW 1 modding to put it bluntly is awful. Most tools are completely archaic, lost to time, or horded by the community. Long story short DOW1 modding isn't very new user friendly (sadly :() I'll be making a community post updating everyone who is still interested in the project updates, a discord, and the new game the project will be moved to! (EAW FOC)

Spot on! Forerunners will take the spot of the Blood ravens, and the Banished will take the place of Chaos on the campaign map. I've also begun mapping out Halo CE's locations on the DC campaign map so the UNSC stronghold will be the MAW (Pillar of Autumn will replace the Titan's cannon), Flood will be 343 guilty spark swamp, Covenant will be the Control Room, and the Forerunners will be the Library

It's a bit of a two part reasoning, I think the campaign mechanics are better in DC compared to Soulstorm. I feel the campaign map and mechanics (permanent bases in provinces,faction leader dialogue, more unique stronghold missions etc) is a better template to work off of than Soulstorm's which I find both bloated and lacking at the same time. Bloated in that I think the campaign map is bigger than it needs to be (poor game play pacing) and lacking in that it strips a lot of features from past entries. I think DC is a better frame work to use for a (hopeful) campaign mode that would allow multiple people to play at the same time

Unification team have been able to get some high poly models into the engine (xbox 360 space marine game models) and it works great! I am a little worried tho that all of these models at once could tank the engine, but only one way to know for sure! :)
