Pink Bubble is a small indie game studio, founded by Sterling McKay and run from his home PC.

With the idea in mind for bringing classic arcade style games back to the masses, without the hand-holding of most modern games, Pink Bubble is working hard to grip the player not only with story, but with gameplay and replay-ability.

Hello everyone, I'm the founder of Pink Bubble, and I'd like to tell you a bit about ProtoStar, my first game to be release under the Pink Bubble name.

ProtoStar is a new 2D, 8bit, action, side-scrolling shooter inspired by games such as Galaga, Zero Wing and many others.

Even though the game is being developed in GameMaker, I stand firm in the belief that the game will be able to hold it's own against even the toughest of critics. Using many customized scripts and third-party extensions, I've already been able to create a fully working prototype containing no visible bugs. All within 2 days worth of working hours on the project.

Here's a prototype demo video recently released on the Pink Bubble youtube page.

There are big plans for ProtoStar, including a unique feature that I haven't really seen in any other scrolling shooter that I've played.

If you like what you've read and/or seen in the video, hit the subscribe button, watch my blog, or even follow the tumblr to keep track of new updates and information about the progress of the game.

Thanks for dropping by! I hope to have more news about the game very soon.
