AK-12 defeated it's opponent A-545 and will be adopted by Russian Armed Forces.

For those who are saying that AK won only because it's famous and brings nothing new beeing only modified AK-74M here is small info:
The only advantage A-545 offers over AK-12 is lower recoil => better accuracy in full auto.
Advantages of AK-12 over A-545 are following:
-Better reload (it's possible to load gun like western rifles having right hand on pistol grip)
-Bolt lock open (and release button placed close to pistol grip)
-It's lighter
-Bolt handle of AK-12 can be placed on either right or left side. (A-545 has bolt handle on the right side only)
-Price
-Simpler design
AK-12 vs AK-74:
In my opinion AK-12 is BY FAR biggest step for AK series by one model. I mean there are no other 2 models of the AK that differ as much as AK-12 and any other AK. Most of parts (if not all of them) are new and AK-12 offers following improvements:
-better muzzlebreak (even lower recoil)
-most likely better accuracy (considering new bolt design)
-far better ergonomics
-bolt lock open and release button
-far better stock (can be folded to both sides and it's adjustable like the M4's stock)
-bolt handle for both sides
-rear sights closer to the shooter
-long RIS rail
-new fire selector (possibility to select fire with movement of one finger like the AR-15 and other western rifles)
These are not all of them but the most noticable ones.
AK-12 fixed every problem AK had so I don't understand why people are saying that AK-12 offers no improvements and A-545 is more advanced rifle. Generally I don't see anything I would improve on the AK-12. A-545 on the other hand improved AEK-971 by far much less than AK-12 improved the AK-74M.
