There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.

Description

As some of you know maybe Russian army is going to replace AK-74M with one of these guns

AK-12 advantages (in nutshell):
- simpler system with fewer moving parts.
- bolt catch and bolt release button close to trigger.

A-545 advantages (in nutshell)
- Superior accuracy and lower recoil in fully automatic mod.
- Even with recoil compesator system is as light as AK-12 without it.

More info:
Both rifles have folding stock with possibility to modify it's length (well A-545 stock is not exactly folding but has same effect - it's like MP5 stock). Both rifles are quite light - 3.3kg for both (note: 3.3kg was weight of older AEK-971 - I am not sure about A-545 but it should be similar). Both rifles have posibility to quickly remove the magazine, AK-12 has a little bit better solution after recent upgrade and it is possible to remove the magazine by simply pulling the magazine release lever right under the trigger down. None of them has magazine well. Both rifles fully support rail system. AK-12 is left-hander friendly I am not sure about A-545 but I belive that it's similar to older AK-74M (bolt lever is on the right side of the gun).
Length appears to be similar 945mm for AK-12 unfolded, 725 for AK-12 folded and 960mm for A-545 unfolded, 720mm folded. (Length for A-545 again is taken from AEK-971 stats)
