There is no way to make the game less agressive/warmongering? Maybe creating some more complex mechanism for proxy wars, since game has tendency to escalate them quickly.
Using bookmarks seems to be great idea to cover whole timespan :)
I think you should first make some smaller scenario for 1950's to prove the concept :)

Come on, soviets were always experts in jamming communications (even civilian - radio free Europe) About month ago there was same rumors about incident on Crimea, when russians cut off UAV´s communication with home base, autopilot then landed and they captured it.

I think it´s okay to don´t change the flags, even if it may be considered inapropriate by someone. However, as it was mentioned few comments abow, This game is a child of our era, with all the controvery we´re facing in realworld events.

How is it with multiplayer? I guess you´re playing for some border colony of your faction(race). So in multiplayer I´ll can make aliances with any other colony I want, or every colony of the same race will cooperate in order to defeat other race? If the second variant is correct, will be there any faction homeworlds?

I just love this laser and Ion effects from 2150, if you think for a moment about how could laser weapon look like in real life, this is it! Not those short blaster-like beams from 2160.
