You have to remember that in books or movies, the heroes are often much more powerful than the villains. In the game, the different factions need to be balanced, otherwise heroes like galbatorix or eragon could defeat any ennemy thrown at them.
Ho<ever, the heroes currently in the mod where designed without inheritance and I am currently modifying themm to take the book into account.

While you do your final check, could you look for any particular event in the game that triggers the crash, somethning like you or the ennemy creating a unit/building or using a power. Also, does it happen with any faction as player/ennemy or with a single faction?

What does your kauncher look like now?

Normally with the launchers it should work, if the game start, it means that it cannnot find your mod folder, to fix this right click on the launcher and in the line:
set MODFOLDER="%~dp0."
replace %~dp0. by the path to your mod folder without the last /

Download this file: The3rdage.net
, extract it in the mod folder (it should be named battleforalagaesia) and use the laucher (if you have a bit windows use the x version)

For all of you wondering if either the mod or myself are dead, don't worry, I am still working on it when I can find the time.

COncerning Galbatorix and Firnen my current plan are to leave those out. I always felt that Galbatorix was the kind of leader who did not go to the front line but rather acted through other leans (ie the special power from the spellbook).
For Firnen , he plays such a little role in the book hat for the moment I won't add him. Moreover, both the elves and the empire already have a dragon rider/dragon and, as these are very powerful, aI don't want to add another, especially when the Dwarves and urgals have no riders.

SAdly I don't have as much time to spend on the mod so progress as stopped/ If someone was willing to take over, I would be glad to give a hand.

What exaclty is your installation problem?

If you get the normal game when clicking in the provided shortcut, it means that the mod path is incorrect.
Follow these instructions:
-Right Click on the Shortcut
-Select Properties
-In the target field remove everything
-In the Target field add your BFME2-ROTWK .exe address (like for a normal shortcut)
-still in the target field add "-mod" (without the "") and then between "" add the mod main folder's address (the main folder is named "battleforalagaesia")

It is not an update. You need to remove any preceding version.

Concerning maps, I will be looki ng for someone to make them for me because I suck at it.
I wont include Galbaorix in the main game perhaps as a campain hero if I ever make a campain as I feel he never acts directly on the battlefield.

The eldunari will apear as Eragon last power which should represent is last atttack of Galbatorix.

Arya is part of the Elves. Concerning the grren Dragon, I'm not sure wether or not I will add him as he lay a very minot role in book4. Perhaps he will be there as an Easter Egg.

To fix that you need to take the shortcut from the installation directory and change the part following the -mod in the target field to your location for the mod.

Have you tried following the installation instruction?

I will release a version with the factions complete and hopefully no bugs btu without maps, inn units,...

I am working on fixing bugs, implementing new ideas , finishing planned stuff,... so the mod will come out some day in the future. For a more precise date wait until its out.

TO fix the banner check the menhorde file the lines should contain SouthernTribesBanner (line 471 and 491)

I am currently working for a month so tgh emod devellopement is paused or really slow. I will restrart the devellopement by the end of july; Concerning then rider dying when the dragon flies away it can not be changed as the dragon is destroyed and recreated as flying. However you can mount a dragon while in flight.
Xoncerning the urgals I think I willreduce squad size and increase strength.
