Is it possible to use this without Brutal Doom, just on Doom II. What mods would need to be made?

Is there a way to run directly from GZdoom, not via the launcher?
I have downloaded the retro version.
Have played a bit can't wait to get into it.

I am using Brutal Doom V21 RC4. with this sniper mod on DOOM2.WAD
I can't change ammo type:
ACS complains: "I don't know what CHANGESHELLTPYE is"
Can anyone help?
