Still no luck after trying many combinations of fresh installs and copying over the mod. The crash is with ntdll.dll, and happens shortly after the first load screen (maybe when the intro vid starts?).

X3 forums suggest this crash could be an audio codec problem, but I haven't found any sign of that on my PC. I've tried disabling intro video, but I still get a CTD.

I'll keep experimenting and report back if I find anything useful.

FYI further investigation shows that when loading without 09.dat, I don't get Star Wars ships (I'm sure you know that), but everything else seems to be OK.

Thanks. My CTD problem is caused by 09.cat & 09.dat. If I delete my addon folder and copy over yours, it loads. If I add back the other cat files, excluding 09, it loads. If I add back 09.cat & 09.dat, it crashes.

The only thing is I've lost the Star Wars load screens when using your addons folder.

Also, your addon folder gives an exe error when using the 3.3 nosteam exe. It doesn't give an error with the 3.1a nosteam exe.

Holy cow I got it. My copy of 7-Zip was out of date. Bizarre that it wouldn't open the file, but seems to be working now. Anyone else getting an error opening the .rar UPDATE YOUR 7-ZIP!

Every time I download the file it ends up being 2,768,143 KB rather than the 2,834,577,473 KB listed above. Any ideas as to why?

Getting an error opening the latest file download. Not recognised as archive by 7zip. Downloaded multiple times with the same result. Any advice? If it's a download problem, would it be possible to split the archive into smaller parts?
