Is there a way to conquer a castle or a town WITHOUT plunder or devastate it? It really makes my whole playthrough so much more annoying.

I lose reputation, companions and population support (like -32 or something).

This is really stupid, please, there must be another way?

You always have to start a new game with Warband mods because they are all different independent modules.
