Hello Guest, I know this is 8 days late, but seeing this comment, I assume that you do not have WinRar installed, just go through the installer as any other and right-click on the mod, or addon, or any of the junk that you want, (emphasis on junk, no harm done, don't hate me) and click extract here, than drag to sourcemods folder, or extract to the sourcemods folder through the WinRar program. It is 100% free software. It does have a useless trial, though, because all it does is lets you use it without paying. Download here, Win-rar.com

i have been trying to make a mod, and i can not launch hammer it give me an error saying gameconfig.txt does not exist in subdierectory

Download WINRAR, you will be able to extract the files. You just have to press "Extract Here", it may go to "a long time ago on windows 10, however it needs an install wizard that you will have to go through.

Get the unofficial patch, and put it in the chells legend folder.

This has happened to me before, extract the file folder named "PortalCraft" to sourcemods.
