All Hail the Mighty Frisbee Tank! I was a little disappointed with it, its not as useful as its KW cousin.
From the look of the FSDB wiki Manual, its going to be for all Chinese players, and its allegedly going to come out in the next patch. But as the staff were previously saying, it can always change.
I'd include a link but I'm still 'new' to ModDB and cant post links. Its the Fallout Studios Data Bunker.
I can't wait for the day when SW 1.0 comes out... Keep up the great work guys.
SA-2 SAM sites + Gadfly = General Granger's worst nightmare. I never thought I would see one of these beasts in a RTS game because of the insane damage they can do to aircraft.
A fun unit to harass the Infantry General's troops with. ;) Ive always really liked the look of this little guy... who wouldn't want actually own one of these for themselves.
Man I love spamming these things against General Granger. By far one of my favorite units in the game both by usage, and the fact that the Gadfly is one hell of a mobile SAM launcher in reality.
Well it'd be a good way to scare the living $#!& out of enemy units.
Well I like that they don't blow up as violently as Nuke reactors do in the game.
@ Flotsam150: New win conditions: Capture enough coal plants to destroy the rest of the ozone, the trick is... you lose too. Everybody loves a good contradiction!
Just in case if you weren't deafening your Red Guard enough in your base with the propaganda, now you can chase them with this truck when they go to capture a building or anything else, and maybe give them some icecream afterwards. Keep your troops loyal to Chairman Mao through superior icecream. XD
I LOVE the detail on this structure, I only wish it was a tiny bit larger because the scale seems a bit off in the game. I initially found it somewhat funny how you took a member of the Greek/Roman Pantheon for a Chinese superweapon, but hey, Leang might be into Greek/Roman Mythology, who knows? Heh... Its still a fitting name like Faramir500 said.. Earthquakes & Mother Nature, it makes perfect sense. You could also could name it after Nu Wa, the Chinese Goddess that is often associated with 'Mother Earth' but Gaia is a bit more catchy and more well known.
This may look roughly like a Nebelwerfer, but this one has more rocket tubes... The towed rocket artillery was a commonly reused idea past WWII. Its cheaper then self-propelled rocket artillery. GLA also has the old Russian Katyusha... So its not all WWII German stuff ;]
I have to say I disagree with kingsjester, this looks pretty cool to me... plus the name just plain rocks, too. Lockdown those enemy tanks! While the EM effect may be short but it can buy you sweet time to keep that looming mass of tanks away while you assemble a reaction force. Or whatever else you want to use it for ;]
Yeah it was a bit of a suped up unit... plus I wasn't a huge fan of the name of it. "Rage MRLS" doesn't really sound like an American vehicle to me. But I must say I am going to miss the amphibious based hit-and-runs. :/
I'm assuming its for vanilla GLA since it seems that all the other structures and units that are exclusive for a general have "for <general name>" after the name of the structure/unit.
Yeaaah... If I was a Ranger, I don't think I would want to be healed by this contraption. O.o Heh...
sebb has a good point, missiles are often too inefficient despite the fact that they deal more damage. Plus bullet based AA bypasses any missile countermeasures i.e. plane flares, Townes' Lasers, or EM Disruptors. I hate launching salvos of missiles at Townes' Commanches only to see them get lasered away. This is a very nice and welcome addition. :)
