Have you guys considered adding some kind of function to the game that would give you the option to "turn off" the background images of all the giant nebulae? You know, like in Homeworld? I like the backgrounds, and they are very beautiful, but if you are aiming for a more realistic game, you should remember that most of space is an empty, invisible void.

Plus, sometimes, I get tired of the same old orange backlit cloud and just want to look past it to the infinite beauty of the CG stars.

All of the models are looking very good. How much of the texturing do you guys have finished?

It looks good. Kind of reminiscent of a Star Destroyer flipped upside down.
