We are definitely planning on doing color correction to get the desaturated look from the first few seasons of the show, most likely using this technique: Freesdk.crydev.net
As you can see by the examples at that link, it can make a WORLD of difference. Part of the reason it all looks so vibrant now is because that's just how CryEngine assets naturally look. Not much you can do about it without the post-processing effects.
