There's some map mods for Doom, and some other mods that add a few weapons.

Then you have **** the tier of Brutal Doom and Samsara, which take the game, and just make it better.

Hell, even ID admits that if Brutal Doom was how the game originally released, there wouldn't be any more FPS games.
