Exactly what GZDoom needed: an ultra-fast gore mod that works with everything. All the colours, all the frames per second, all the blood!
A vanilla TC that runs with the DOS Doom exe (if you want it to) and plays like a proper sequel to Doom is something very special indeed.
Revamps the ME2 combat experience a great deal. As such, I highly recommend it to any ME2 player
The sheer amount of work put into this mod is astonishing. The game plays, sounds and feels quite a bit better. Completely and utterly amazing.
There are, however, a few caveats: The mod activates some features from the ZRP (Zone Reclemation Project - a bugfixing mod) it was based on which IMO are unnecesary, or I would really like to switch off: The faction joining and the freeplay system. These functions were not in the original game, which gives a bit of a "uncanny" feeling when one, say, finishes the story (I did expect the credits to roll, for one).
So, no, you might not want to play this mod if you have never played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. before, use the Zone Reclemation Project for that, and be sure to read the readme on how to set the options to the most vanilla setting. However, I highly recommend this for a second, third, and fourth playtrough :D.
The issues I mentioned in this review appear to be mostly resolved or I have overlooked things. Still - A link to the Sweetfx page as well as mentoining hte author would have been nice.
Also, I think the mod's author went waaay overboard with the settings. Setting digital vibrance to 1.0 is way to much, and in the end, it is not all that hard either.
